Pre-operative Preparation
- Discontinue soft contact lenses in the eye to be treated for at least 3–7 days prior to surgery.
Discontinue hard (rigid) contact lenses in the eye to be treated for at least 14 days prior to surgery. - On the day of surgery, wash your hair beforehand and avoid all makeup, as well as deodorant sprays, perfumes, or scented products. Please do not bring valuables to the hospital.
- Do not take any sedative medications before surgery, as they may cause drowsiness during the procedure.
- Avoid alcohol before surgery, as it may interfere with the performance of the laser system.
- Do not drive yourself to the hospital on the day of surgery. A companion is recommended because a protective eye shield will be applied after the procedure. Although vision will be functional, it may still be blurred, and symptoms such as stinging, irritation, or tearing may impair the ability to drive safely.
